We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our clients firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and strategic direction of our tax department, ensuring accurate and timely tax planning, preparation, and filing. This role involves working closely with clients and internal teams to optimize tax credit opportunities, performing ERC eligibility analysis, and managing all aspects of Employee Retention Credit and Employee Retention Tax Credit. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of federal and state tax laws, tax returns, and the unique tax considerations for S Corporations and other corporations. Responsibilities

1. Oversee and manage all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes.
2. Maintain and update the company's tax database.
3. Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns and other business-related filings.
4. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
5. Manage the preparation and review of tax returns and the related reporting packages.
6. Forecast tax predictions to senior managers.
7. Engage in Employee Retention Credit (ERC) eligibility analysis and manage all aspects of Employee Retention Tax Credit.
8. Advise management and clients on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities.
9. Coordinate and liaise with tax auditors to ensure audits and proceedings are conducted efficiently.
10. Identify tax savings in prospective acquisition scenarios and advise on tax implications of business strategies.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree in Taxation is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.
3. Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
4. Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
5. Experience with tax planning, return preparation, and tax strategy implementation.
6. Proficient in tax software and databases.
7. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
8. Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
11. Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent credential is strongly preferred.
