Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of flex industrial, office, and retail properties. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned assets, ensuring high tenant satisfaction, efficient building operations, strong financial performance, and compliance with lease agreements. The ideal candidate has experience managing commercial properties and is comfortable working directly with tenants, vendors, ownership, and third-party service providers.
Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of a commercial real estate portfolio consisting primarily of flex industrial, with additional office and retail properties. Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, responding to maintenance requests, lease-related questions, and operational issues. Coordinate and oversee vendors, contractors, and maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of repairs and preventative maintenance. Conduct regular property inspections to maintain building appearance, safety, and operational standards. Prepare and manage annual operating budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings. Review monthly financial reports, operating statements, CAM reconciliations, and variances against budget. Partner with accounting to ensure timely rent collections, tenant billing, and resolution of outstanding receivables. Administer leases, including renewals, amendments, move-ins, move-outs, and tenant improvement projects. Ensure compliance with lease obligations, insurance requirements, and local building regulations. Manage capital improvement projects from planning through completion, coordinating with ownership and contractors. Support acquisitions, dispositions, and due diligence activities as needed. Build strong relationships with tenants to maximize retention and occupancy.
Qualifications 3+ years of commercial property management experience. Experience managing industrial, flex, office, and/or retail properties required. Strong understanding of commercial leases, CAM reconciliations, budgeting, and financial reporting. Experience coordinating maintenance, capital projects, and vendor relationships. Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to build lasting tenant relationships. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with commercial property management software such as Yardi, MRI, AppFolio Commercial, Building Engines, or similar is a plus.
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required based on relevant experience. CPM, RPA, or other commercial real estate certifications are a plus. Preferred Experience Commercial property management within flex industrial portfolios. Experience working directly with property owners or commercial real estate investment firms. Knowledge of building systems, vendor management, and construction coordination. Experience managing multiple properties across a diverse commercial portfolio. What We're Looking For
