Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Civil Engineer - PE to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paving, land development, stormwater, and drainage. This role will be instrumental in managing and executing engineering projects of varying size and complexity. You will be involved in all aspects of the project life cycle, from initial planning and feasibility assessment, through design and construction. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Civil Engineer who is looking to take the next step in their career and work on exciting and groundbreaking projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, and supervise construction of infrastructure projects such as roads, airports, bridges, harbors, channels, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, power plants, and water and sewage systems.
  • Use design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Analyze reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects.
  • Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site.
  • Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
  • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
  • Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and managerial personnel.
  • Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on water, wastewater, stormwater, CAD, Civil 3D, drainage, and land development.
  • Strong knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar.
  • Proficient in design and calculation software.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to supervise and monitor the project team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, working with clients and various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
